The Project Overview

Rebranding and establishing an online presence for this Dublin screen printer.

Who

The T-Shirt Company, a small Dublin-based business teetering on the brink of expansion and investment in cutting-edge equipment, desired a brand transformation to embody their dynamic energy, unwavering commitment to quality, and professionalism in swift product delivery.

What

They were in need of a fresh identity and branding materials. As their business was expanding, their new website had to do more than just spotlight their core printing service; it also had to feature their expanding array of services. Moreover, they aimed to offer customers comprehensive information about their extended product range, enriching the overall ordering experience.

A New Identity

The T-Shirt Company wanted a brand that conveyed both playfulness and professionalism. I provided a variety of additional branding elements, allowing them to showcase their diverse print style options and explore exciting possibilities. This included a vibrant and playful colour palette to highlight their printing expertise, a unique printer's icon set that they utilised for creating captivating patterns, such as the one adorning an entire wall in their studio and even on packaging tape.

Additionally, I designed their logo as a sticker, along with several other designs for versatility when packaging their products for delivery to clients. Lastly, I created a complete stationery package, including business cards for all employees.

A Day In The Life

The T-Shirt Co. aimed to portray their genuine identity – a team of skilled, passionate, and professional individuals. To achieve this, I coordinated a photoshoot with a professional photographer, providing a specific shot list for the website. My objective was to capture the essence of the people and their workplace in its true form: dedicated individuals, adorned in ink splatters, toiling on the production floor, crafting exceptional products using state-of-the-art screen printing machinery.

Additionally, we proudly showcased the original presses that marked the company's beginnings, underlining their ability to handle orders of all sizes.

The Website

A Brand New Look

The website required a fresh clean appearance in line with the new branding style. It had to display a wide range of services and products available in the store whilst ensuring a user-friendly experience for customers looking to get quick quotations. To achieve this, I integrated a content management system, simplifying the process of keeping customers updated on the latest offerings. The quote process was improved with a newly designed form.

Product Photo Shoot

I organised a photoshoot with models for the store's product shots. Previously, the photos used were provided by the suppliers themselves, resulting in a disjointed look and feel. However, by conducting our own photo shoot, all the product shots became clear, consistent and we gained full control over the store's overall appearance.

Ordering Products

Ordering Userflow

The multitude of variables in each order, ranging from T-shirt brand selection to the number of colours, print placement, size choices, quantities per size, and additional services like embroidery, ensures that no two orders are identical. As a result, The T-Shirt Company needed to tailor each estimate to meet the unique needs of every customer. Initially, this process relied on email communication, which often led to prolonged back-and-forth exchanges as constraints and options had to be painstakingly explained step by step.

To streamline this process, I developed a new form that meticulously addressed the user journey required for seamless order inquiries. The T-Shirt Company now receives the essential information necessary for estimating with ease, while users are guided systematically through the order process, with constraints clearly presented at each juncture. This enhancement has significantly reduced confusion and improved efficiency for both the T-Shirt Company and their clients..

Enquiry Form

The user selects one or more colours from a particular product and is then guided through a form where they can add sizes and quantities for each colour selected.

Conclusion

Tell a Story

In the journey of crafting a fresh brand and website for The T-Shirt Company, a small business with big aspirations, my goal was clear: to establish a deep and meaningful connection with their customers through the digital realm, just as we would in person.

This endeavour required us to weave a compelling narrative that not only introduced who they are but also conveyed what they can offer and how they can collaborate. From this narrative, their brand's tone emerged, guiding every aspect of their branding collateral and every touchpoint with their cherished clientele.

It's in the subtleties—the careful selection of words, the emotions evoked by our chosen color palette, the professionalism instilled by the unwavering consistency of our design elements, and even the friendly sticker adorning each delivery order. All these details have been thoughtfully orchestrated to not only tell a story but to create an experience—one that embodies their identity, values, and commitment to delivering quality and care in every interaction with their customers.
